Unfortunately, due to the distances involved, we don't recommend return bookings on the day of departure. The fast boat services originate in Bali and normally drop and pickup other passengers from other islands during the voyage. Late afternoon and evening departures back to Bali are less common due to generally poorer sea conditions.
We strongly recommend spending at least one night on the islands - you'll be glad you did! Alternatively, we advise you to visit Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida as they are closer to the mainland and offer a greater variety of arrival/departure times.

Please consider where you are staying in Bali and how long you want to spend on the boat. If you are staying in South or West Bali then Serangan Harbour is your nearest departure point. Sanur harbour is about an hour's drive north (and subsequently closer to the Gili Islands) and offers a greater variety of fast boat schedules.
If you are staying in Ubud or southeast Bali, departing from Padang Bai is the best option and the boat journey is about an hour shorter than from Serangan harbour.
If you are in East Bali or further north, then Amed is the shortest route to the islands by fast boat, however, Amed is about a 3-4 hour drive from the Kuta / Seminyak / Canggu areas.
Yes you can! Simply make a search for a return ticket for the dates you wish to travel and choose one company/route for the outbound journey and another one for the inbound journey from the results. In this instance, we would suggest departing with Gili Getaway and returning with BlueWater Express (to Padang Bai) as travel time will be kept to a minimum, and hotel pick-up and drop-offs are included.
You sure can! By using the trip selector on our homepage you can check availability and secure your booking. There is a daily service that shuttles passengers between Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Sengiggi in Lombok.
Eka Jaya Fast Ferry currently offers a service to Gili Meno without having to transfer to a different boat. Scoot Fast Cruises also offer tickets to Gili Meno, however, they do travel via Nusa Lembongan from Bali, making the journey somewhat longer. They also transfer passengers to a smaller vessel upon arrival at Gili Trawangan. Alternatively, once you've arrived at Gili Trawangan, many travellers choose to hire a local boat to ferry them the short distance.
BlueWater Express or Scoot Fast Cruises ferry passengers to the Gili Islands via Nusa Lembongan. They also offer a convenient island hopping service which means that you can book tickets from Bali to the Gili Islands, disembark the vessel in Lembongan and continue your journey at your leisure. You also have the option to reverse the itinerary and and visit Lembongan on your way back to Bali.

You can book and pay for your tickets with us up to a year in advance. Last-minute bookings (at least 24 hours prior to your departure date) are also invited, however, please bear in mind that seat availability can become limited and your preferred vessel may already be fully booked!

No! The advertised price is the final price. Gilibookers.com will never impose any additional fees or charges. The only additional charge that you may incur is for pick-up or drop-off if you are staying outside of the free pick-up zones. This fee, should you select these services, will be disclosed during the checkout process.

Fastboat and activities prices can fluctuate by date, depending on demand and availability. Seasonal price fluctuations, and current exchange rates, can also vary prices slightly. In all instances, we strive to secure our customers the best possible prices all year round.
No. We do not charge any extra fees when you make a booking with us. Your bank, however, may levy a transaction fee for making an international payment. In such cases, we advise you to contact your bank or card issuer.
After you have chosen the services you would like to book and ensured your details are correct, you will be asked to provide a few personal details. After you have selected your itinerary you will be taken through to a secure payment portal where you can complete your purchase with your chosen payment method.
You will instantly receive an email confirming all of your booking details, together with the contact details for the fast boat and/or tour operator. Our travel partners will also receive an email from us confirming your reservation details
Yes you do - we don't like wasting paper! Once you have completed your transaction you will receive an immediate email notification confirming the details of your booking from bookings@gilibookers.com, together with a copy of your e-tickets (QR code and booking reference number). You can download your e-tickets (pdf format) immediately in the web browser. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes please check your Spam/Junk folders. Please then mark our email as Safe/Not Junk. If still not found, please CONTACT us for assistance.
No, you are not required to re-confirm your reservation with the Fastboat company and/or tour operator. Once you make a reservation with us, all parties are immediately advised via email that your itinerary has been confirmed and purchased.
The Cardholder doesn't need to be a passenger, participant, or traveling companion.
Yes, you can cancel your tickets but please refer to the cancellation policy, which varies per charter company.

In most cases, all bookings cancelled more than 2 weeks from the date of travel will receive a full refund.
Cancellations less than 2 weeks but more than 48 hours from the date of travel will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations received less than 48 hours from the date of travel are usually not eligible for a refund.
Simply log in to your Gilibookers.com account via our website or use the link forwarded in your booking confirmation email. Once you request a cancellation, the refund (if applicable) will be calculated depending on the balance of time remaining prior to your departure date.
This depends on the type of ticket you have booked and availability, but in most instances, you will be able to:
change your departure and/or return date
remove or add additional passengers

Unfortunately, we're not able to add a return leg to a one-way journey after your booking has been confirmed. The quickest option is to book a new one-way journey, or alternatively, cancel your original booking and create a new return trip booking.
The free hotel shuttle service is a complimentary extra offered by some Fastboat operators, however, it is only offered in certain locations.
If your ferry operator includes complimentary hotel shuttle services, you will be offered this option during checkout. You can enter your pick-up or drop-off hotel details, and we'll forward your request to the operator.
Many visitors to Bali prefer to venture further afield and stay in more remote areas of the island.
Please be aware that for some of these areas there may be a surcharge levied by the operator to transfer you to and from your accommodation.

Yes, of course. If you're staying within a free shuttle zone we invite you to enjoy this extra benefit.
However, many guests are happy to arrange their own transport if staying in more remote areas.

Unfortunately, dogs and other pets are not permitted to enter the Gili Islands.
Motorbikes are not permitted on any of the Fastboats for safety reasons. Motorbikes and cars are also not permitted on any of the Gili Islands - enjoy getting around in a horse-drawn buggy or hire a pushbike.
Motorbikes are permitted on Lombok, Nusa Penida, and Nusa Lembongan, and can be transported on one of the public ferries. Please note that these journeys often take 3-4 time longer than a Fastboat service.
The simplest option is to rent a motorbike on arrival - spend less time traveling and more time exploring!
